The following documents were prepared prior to the start of the Re-New Bern project:
CURRENT LUO
The City’s current Land Use Ordinance is the development regulations as they existed as the commencement of the Re-New Bern project.
2022 LAND USE PLAN UPDATE
The 2022 Land Use Plan Update is the most-recent land use planning document intended to supplement the Regional CAMA plan with additional detail about three growth areas to the west and south of the city limits.
BIKE & PEDESTRIAN PLAN
The Bicycle and Pedetrian Plan is the City’s plan for alternative transportation modes adopted in 2022.
REGIONAL CAMA PLAN
The Regional CAMA Plan is the official CAMA Plan for New Bern adopted in 2010. It describes the primary goals and objectives for land uses and development in New Bern.
HISTORIC PRESERVATION PLAN
The Historic Preservation Plan sets out the City’s goals for protection of historic and cultural resources.
URBAN DESIGN PLAN 2000
The Urban Design Plan 2000 is a legacy plan for building design and appearance in the City’s core.
GREATER DUFFYFIELD STRATEGIC PLAN
RIVERSTATION NEIGHBORHOOD PLAN
The Riverstation Neighborhood Plan is a small area plan for Riverstation.
NEW BERN VISION 2038
The Vision 2038 Broad Street and Five Point Area Plan document is a presentation about design and compatibility issues in the Broad Street and Five Points area prepared by the Chamber of Commerce.
GATEWAY RENAISSANCE PLAN
The Gateway Renaissance Plan is a small area plan for the Gateway portion of the City.
LUO RFQ
The RFQ is the document prepared by the City describing its goals and objectives for the LUO preparation process.
GREATER FIVE POINTS TRANSFORMATION PLAN
The Greater Five Points Transformation Plan is a small area plan prepared for the Five Points area.
CODEWRIGHT RFQ RESPONSE
The CodeWright response is the document prepared by the consulting team in response to the City’s RFQ. It details the project understanding, proposed scope of work, schedule, and budget.
CODEWRIGHT LUO CONTRACT
The New Bern LUO contract is the document describing the contract between CodeWright and the City for the completion of the new LUO.
CODEWRIGHT INTERVIEW
The CodeWright New Bern Interview is the document that provides details about the firm and our approach to accomplishing the LUO project as presented to City staff during the consultant interview.
